Mr. Sabir Oussaoui is a PhD student specializing in climate change, remote sensing, and artificial intelligence, with strong academic and professional training in environmental geomatics and geospatial sciences. His research focuses on drought monitoring, impact assessment, and forecasting in Morocco through the integration of satellite data, hydro-climatic datasets, machine learning, and socioeconomic surveys. He has extensive hands-on experience with Google Earth Engine, ERA5-Land, MODIS, Sentinel-2, GIS databases, and spatial-temporal analysis for agricultural and water resource applications. Alongside his research, he has served as a freelance trainer and university instructor, delivering GIS and remote sensing courses to students and professionals. He has supervised and co-supervised bachelor’s and master’s theses in geomatics, drought analysis, and AI-based land use studies. His work is supported by active collaborations with UM6P-IWRI, UQTR-RIVE, and national and international researchers in climate change, hydrology, and Earth observation.
