Dr. Hye Su Jeong is an epidemiologist and medical informatics specialist with a PhD from Korea University, where her research focused on signal detection of COVID-19 vaccine adverse events, following a master’s degree in Epidemiology and Health Informatics and a bachelor’s degree in Nursing. She is currently an RWE Specialist in Medical Affairs at SK bioscience, leading real-world evidence studies on vaccine safety, effectiveness, and healthcare utilization while supporting regulatory-aligned post-marketing research and cross-functional medical strategies. Previously, she served as a postdoctoral researcher under the BK21 L-HOPE Program, contributing to learning health system and smart health city research with international collaborations. Her extensive pharmacovigilance experience includes work as a nurse at the National Medical Center’s Drug Safety Monitoring Center, where she established and managed adverse event monitoring systems and conducted national-level vaccine and drug safety studies, including COVID-19 vaccines and remdesivir. Earlier, she worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator at Seoul National University Hospital, managing phase 2–4 clinical trials, multicenter studies, and regulatory audits. Dr. Jeong has presented widely at international conferences and has received multiple honors, including the Best Paper Award from the Korean Society for Pharmacoepidemiology and Risk Management and the Korea University Graduate School Excellent Thesis Award.
