Dr. Marina Requena Mora is a distinguished sociologist with a PhD in Sociology from the Universitat de València, awarded with an Extraordinary and International/European distinction, and holds dual degrees in Sociology and Political Science. She serves as a postdoctoral researcher at ICTA-UAB, contributing to the ERC-funded CONDJUST project, while also acting as Co-Investigator at the University of Manchester for the ESRC-supported JEO4C project. Additionally, she is a Visiting Scholar at the Post-Growth Transformation Lab at London School of Economics. Her academic career includes teaching roles at Universitat Jaume I and Universitat de València, as well as international fellowships at International Food Policy Research Institute. Her research integrates econometrics, sensitivity analysis, and machine learning within political ecology to critically assess sustainability indicators and green growth narratives. She has contributed to policy-oriented research for the Generalitat Valenciana, focusing on rural participation, youth engagement, and the digital divide. Dr. Requena Mora has authored a book and numerous book chapters with leading academic publishers, alongside publishing over thirty peer-reviewed journal articles in top-tier journals such as Global Environmental Change and Ecological Economics. She has also served on editorial boards of prominent sociology journals and actively collaborates with leading scholars including Dan Brockington and Joan Martínez-Alier, contributing significantly to interdisciplinary research networks in environmental sociology, ecological economics, and conservation data justice.
