Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lanjiao Wen is a researcher in Agricultural Economics and Land Resource Management with dual Ph.D. training from Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg, Germany, and Huazhong Agricultural University, China, including a joint doctoral period at the University of California, Berkeley, USA. Her work examines rural–urban land conversion, land market mechanisms, carbon emission effects, agents’ behavioral strategies, and spatial coordination in regional development. She has served as Principal Investigator on multiple major national-level projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), the National Social Science Foundation of China (SSFC), the Ministry of Education of China, international cooperation foundations, and central university research funds. Her research has advanced understanding of market efficiency, land value increment mechanisms, revenue distribution networks, and carbon effects under rural–urban integration. She has organized and presented in leading international conferences and forums, including IAMO Forum, EAAE, AARES, ICABR, and ICCASU, contributing to global dialogue on land systems, sustainable transformation, and agricultural development. She has received notable recognitions such as the Outstanding Young Social Science Talents of Hubei Province, the “Chutian” Young Scholar Award, and the Donna Brennan Prize.
