Associate Professor at Samsung Changwon Hospital

Prof. Do Kyung Lee is an Associate Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Samsung Changwon Hospital, Sungkyunkwan University, a position he has held since March 2020, with prior academic appointments including Assistant Professor at Konyang University Hospital. He earned his M.D. from Sungkyunkwan University, completed his orthopedic residency and internship at Samsung Medical Center, and pursued advanced clinical fellowships in sports medicine, knee and hip arthroplasty, and trauma at leading Korean medical centers, in addition to serving as a military doctor in the Korean Army. His academic training includes M.S. and Ph.D. coursework at the Graduate School of Medicine, Sungkyunkwan University. Prof. Lee has received multiple prestigious awards, including the Excellence Award from the Korean Society for Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine of the Musculoskeletal System and several best oral presentation honors from national orthopedic societies. He is an active full member of numerous professional societies, serving in key roles such as reviewer, academic committee member, and editorial board contributor across orthopedic, arthroscopy, sports medicine, and regenerative medicine organizations. In addition to his academic and clinical roles, he serves as Deputy Director of the QPS Department at Samsung Changwon Hospital and is engaged in funded research, including a 2024 Songcheon Medical Research Grant and a national nano-material–based cryopreservation project aimed at inhibiting crystal formation in human-derived materials.
