Dr. Wojciech Bronisław Ciesielka earned his PhD in Technical Sciences at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Robotics in 2002 and has been a faculty member at the Department of Power Systems and Environmental Protection Facilities since 2009, after working at the Department of Mechanics and Vibroacoustics from 1994 to 2009. As founder and mentor of the student scientific club “MechaBajt,” he has supervised over 200 student papers, 5 engineering theses, 125 master’s theses, and co-supervised 2 doctoral dissertations, guiding 14 award-winning theses in faculty competitions and one recognized in “DIAMONDS of AGH.” His research spans intelligent systems, mechanical engineering, robotics, energy and environmental protection systems, and sound engineering, with a focus on designing innovative solutions such as signal-processor-based sound control systems, industrial noise protection, drone control, and methods to improve reliability of power distribution lines under icing conditions. Notable achievements include the patented System for Active Noise Reduction (PL188803B1), Acoustic Maps for Kraków, Katowice, and Warsaw, the Acoustic Climate Management System for Kraków, and control solutions implemented during World Youth Day 2016 in Kraków. His ongoing research addresses reducing fuel and energy consumption in transport and construction. He has collaborated with AGH University of Krakow, Silesian University of Technology, the Institute of Fundamental Technological Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences, PZL Świdnik, Building Research Institute, CIOP–PIB, ArcelorMittal Poland, the Marshal’s Office of the Małopolska Region, and the City of Kraków Office. He is an active member of the Polish Acoustical Society and the League for Noise Prevention, Kraków Branch. Prof. Dr. Ricelli Endrigo Ruppel da Rocha earned his Ph.D. in Ciências Biomédicas from Instituto Universitário Italiano de Rosário (IUNIR), Argentina in 2013 under the supervision of Graciela D. Venera. He holds a master’s degree in Educação Física/Fitness from Universidade Federal do Paraná (2010) and a bachelor’s degree in Educação Física from Faculdades Reunidas de Administração, Ciências Contábeis e Econômicas de Palmas (2000). He completed multiple postdoctoral fellowships, including at Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (2017–2020), and several specialized courses in Fisiologia do Exercício, Treinamento Desportivo, Metodologia do Ensino Superior, Musculação, Ginástica, and Capacitação em Metodologias Ativas. He is currently a full professor at Universidade do Oeste de Santa Catarina (UNOESC), coordinating the Educação Física undergraduate program and teaching disciplines including Fisiologia do Exercício, Treinamento Desportivo, Bioestatística, Cineantropometria, Cinesiologia e Biomecânica, Musculação, Medidas e Avaliação, and Treinamento Personalizado, while also contributing to postgraduate programs in Desenvolvimento e Sociedade and Educação Básica, focusing on research fields such as Saúde e Trabalho, Qualidade de Vida e Desenvolvimento, Cultura, Ensino, Saúde e Formação Docente, Sociedade, Cidadania e Segurança, and Fisiologia do Exercício aplicada à Saúde e Desempenho Esportivo. He has extensive experience as a researcher and educator, serving in administrative roles including Coordenador do curso de Educação Física at UNOESC and vice-coordinator at Universidade Alto Vale do Rio do Peixe (UNIARP). Prof. da Rocha has been recognized multiple times as Professor Homenageado of Educação Física courses at UNIARP and UNOESC and has actively participated in funded research projects, reviewing studies on topics such as efeitos fisiológicos da temperatura da água durante terapia aquática and diagnóstico e tratamento da síndrome de Addison. He has authored 147 articles listed on Google Scholar with a total of 341 citations, 163 articles with 493 citations on other sources, 12 articles with 58 citations on Web of Science, 9 articles with 62 citations on SciELO, and 7 articles with 60 citations on Scopus, demonstrating an h-index of 7.
