Dr. Rasha Alrkebat is a specialist in Earth System Science with academic training in geography and environmental geology from the University of Jordan, focusing on sustainable water use, geospatial analysis, and climate change. She currently works as an Agricultural Research Scientist at Jordan’s National Agricultural Research Center, where she leads projects on climate adaptation, water management, and international research collaboration. Her experience includes roles as a research assistant and teaching assistant, contributing to GIS education, groundwater studies, and applied environmental research. She is also the Founder and Scientific Editor of the Earth System Sciences section at the Arabica Encyclopedia, where she develops scientific content and editorial frameworks. Dr. Alrkebat has contributed to multiple internationally funded projects related to sustainability, agriculture, soil health, and circular economy initiatives. She has authored numerous encyclopedia articles on Earth system science, climate change, geospatial technologies, and interdisciplinary environmental topics, alongside serving as a reviewer for diverse scientific entries. Prof. Alijon Khusanov holds higher education from Andijan State University and possesses the academic titles of Candidate of Biological Sciences, Doctor of Biology, and Associate Professor. His professional activity includes extensive service at Andijan State University in the industrial department, where he also contributes as a member of academic councils responsible for awarding the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Biological Sciences at both Fergana State University and Andijan State University. He additionally serves as the Chair of the Scientific Seminar under the same council and plays an active role in shaping research standards and evaluation processes. Prof. Khusanov is a member of the editorial board of Nauchnyi Vestnik Andijanskogo gosudarstvennogo universiteta. Biology (VAK) and manages the international collaborative project “Microplastics in the Environment” between Uzbekistan and Russia. He is the author of more than 120 publications, including 2 textbooks and 8 teaching manuals, and his scientific works have received 206 citations across 165 documents, supported by an h-index of 8. Through his research, academic leadership, and international project management, he contributes significantly to the advancement of biological sciences, environmental safety, and scientific development in Uzbekistan and beyond.
