Prior to that, he obtained an M.Sc. in Mathematics (Functional Analysis) from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, in 2017, where he had also completed his B.Sc. in Mathematics in 2006. His foundational education includes the Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) in 2000 and the First School Leaving Certificate in 1993.

With over a decade of experience in academia, Prof. Cyril Ugwuogor has held multiple teaching and administrative roles across various institutions. Since 2018, he has served as a Lecturer II at Madonna University Nigeria, where he teaches and mentors students in mathematics. He has also contributed as a Mathematics Tutor for JUPEB Mathematics Courses, helping to prepare students for higher education. From 2009 to 2012, he worked as a Postgraduate Demonstrator at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, assisting in advanced mathematics instruction. Additionally, he held leadership positions as the Head of School and Head of the Mathematics Department at Doyen Academy School between 2014 and 2018. His early teaching experience includes serving as an NYSC Mathematics Teacher at Community Secondary School, Moriki, Zamfara State, from 2007 to 2008.
