Assist. Prof. Dr. Bomi Gil | Radiology | Research Excellence Award

Department of Radiology at The Catholic University of Korea, South Korea

Assist. Prof. Dr. Bomi Gil obtained a bachelor’s degree from The Catholic University of Korea in 2012, received the Korea Medical Doctor’s License (No. 109090) the same year, completed a master’s certificate in 2017, and earned a doctoral degree in 2025 from The Catholic University of Korea. She trained as a Fellow at Bucheon St. Mary’s Hospital from 2017 to 2019, served as a Clinical Assistant Professor from 2019 to 2024, and has been an Assistant Professor at the same institution since 2025. Her research spans advanced thoracic and oncologic imaging, artificial intelligence applications in radiology, interstitial lung disease, lung cancer prognosis and immunotherapy response, pulmonary infections, vascular and airway anomalies, and quantitative CT biomarkers, with publications in leading journals including PLOS One, CHEST, Scientific Reports, Korean Journal of Radiology, Radiology: Cardiothoracic Imaging, and others. She has contributed seminal work on deep learning models for non-small cell lung cancer outcomes, CT-based morphologic and densitometric indices, contrast-enhanced neuroimaging for leptomeningeal metastasis, elastography in breast imaging, and GAN-based CT protocol harmonization. Her scholarly output reflects strong interdisciplinary integration of clinical radiology, data science, and translational imaging research. In addition to research and clinical practice, she has actively engaged in professional development and regulatory training. She completed Clinical Trial Professionals Education (September 8, 2023), Human Research Protection Program training (May 30, 2023), and holds a GCP Certificate version 5 (February 14, 2023).
